Impressive Antique French jewellery box veneered in beautiful Thuya with tulipwood crossbanding and contrasting ebonised edges and moulding. The top and front of the jewellery box has a Nickel Silver shaped vacant initial plate and simple key profile. The front of the box has a jewellery drawer with Nickel-plated handle and has a padded velvet base.

Lifting the main lid of this beautiful french jewellery box reveals a richly lined interior comprising white water silk paper and red velvet. The underside of the lid has decorative red and gold rope twist. The main storage area has a removable tray with four compartments. Two of which have been lined to house rings, earrings or cuff links. Underneath this jewellery tray is more storage space.

This jewellery box comes with a fully working lock and tasselled key.
