Antique serpentine tulipwood tea caddy with brass edging, beautiful herringbone veneer to the front, back and sides with end grain kingwood on its rounded corners. The top again beautifully veneered with cross banded Kingwood framing the hexagonal designed top.
The interior of this eye catching french tea caddy reveals a water stained maple with a single tulipwood inlay and rosewood turned handle, under these are secondary lids known as floating lids these sit directly on the tea to help keep the tea fresh!
This tea caddy comes with a fully working lock and tasselled key, the key must be turned counter clockwise to lock. The interior has retained most of its original lining.
