Halma, from the Greek meaning “Jump”, is a variant of Chinese Chequers which uses the natural & red stained bone halma pawns included in this compendium.
The chess board can be used to play draughts or chess using the natural & red stained pieces.

Other items include: Red stained and natural bone chess and draughts, playing cards, card press, four wooded counter holders, poker dice (which are much later than the box), mother of pearl gaming counters and various coloured bone counters, bone dominoes and leather embossed shaker.
