The interior of this striking writing slope features its original and hardly used gold tooled leather writing surface in excellent condition, with original ribbon tabs at the top and bottom to allow the surfaces to be lifted, the lower half has a large storage space and the back of the surface has crossbanded ribbon for holding letters, documents and calling cards.

The top half of the pollard writing slope also has a large storage space and houses secret drawers! The underside of the top half has leather backing holding various writing tools, with a gold tooled Hausburglabel.
Removing the right hand, screw top inkwell allows the left hand compartment divider to be pull upwards. This will cause a false wall to spring forward revealing the three secret drawers.

The writing box has a fully working lock & tasselled key.
