Antique Leather bound writing box with brass gilded campaign carry handle, escutcheon and hinge. Complete with original leather carry case with buckled strap and matching monogram: D. Mc. C.. The writing box is signed and made by J. T Needs of Piccadilly, London.

The interior opens to reveal a writing surface, three writing slates, a removable pen tray and two brass crown top glass inkwells. Lifting the slate tray reveals further storage space, dividers for stationery and slots for pens pencils and other stationery accessories.
