Description
Antique box veneered with maple sides crossbanded in Mahogany, the top has perspective inlays and star motif to the center. Veneers used are: Coconut, Lace, Mahogany, Palm, Satinwood, Yew, Partridge, Purpleheart, Coromandel and several others we are unsure of. The front has a brass sheild shaped escutcheon.
The interior is lined with green leather paper and velvet, with the lid having more decorative inlaid panel of exotic woods.
This box does not have a working lock but comes with a tasselled key for decorative purposes.
