Rare exquisitely striking Antique Box made of Palmwood. The spotty borders are made using end grain, framing book-matched veneer on each side. The top has a hexagonal book-matched design with quartered corners. The whole palmwood box is then edged in solid Ebony with a diamond-shaped escutcheon.

The interior of this visually stunning palmwood box is lined with its original green silk velvet and lifting the lid reveals a single full-width silvered hinge, lock and keep.

Complete with a fully working lock and tasselled key. The key must be turned clockwise to unlock.
