Antique Jewellery Box veneered in striking figured rosewood & mother of pearl inlays, with the top drawing your eye to the exquisite engraved mother of pearl ” Prince of Wales feathers” with the words ” Ich Dien ” which is old Germanic for “I Serve” The top & front have a thin pewter stringing framing both the mother of pearl inlays.

The royal prince of Wales jewellery box interior is lined with a green silk paper and luxurious velvet, it features eight compartment removable jewellery tray with looped handles for easy removal. Removing the jewellery tray shows more space with a cushioned velvet pad to protect any valuables that are placed within the box.

This jewellery box comes with a fully working lock and tasselled key. The key must be turned clockwise to unlock.
