Description

Satinwood Boxwith a beautiful star motif made up of kingwood, mahogany and rosewood to the top, and a coromandel shield shaped escutcheon on the front. This box although empty of its contents we believe this was for holding various games.

Opening the box reveals a removable mahogany card tray which sits on three velvet lined compartments underneath for storing various games pieces such as delicate chess set and draughts / backgammon pieces. The underside of the lid features a beautiful cube perspective inlay.

This empty games box comes with a fully working lock and tasselled key.
