Novelty Carved Wooden Trunk

From our Jewellery Box collection, we are pleased to offer this French Novelty Antique Trunk Jewellery Box. The Jewellery Box carved from wood as a Trunk in novelty form with simulated leather wooden straps having brass latches and handles. The top of the box features a shaped vacant initial plaque with a matching escutcheon to the front with a  lockable latch. The interior of the Antique Jewellery Box is lined in deep pink silk having rope work around the border. The French Antique Novelty Trunk Jewellery Box dates to the turn of the 20th century Art Nouveau period circa 1900.

The Trunk Jewellery Box comes with working lock and tasselled key.
