Description

Writing box veneered in beautiful figured walnut with inlaid mosaic designs running over the top with brass escutcheons, contains a secret compartment with three hidden drawers.

The interior features a red leather writing surface, removable pen tray and compartments for ink wells. The top and bottom of the writing surface can be lifted to reveal storage space underneath. To gain access to the secret drawers you need to first open the small writing surface, then the left hand inkwell compartment has a divider pull up on this and the sprung cover will reveal three small drawers.

The writing box comes with a fully working lock and tasselled key.
