Apothecary Box made of solid Mahoganywith flush fitting campaign brass carrying handle, double opening lockable doors, has secret Poison compartment & is fully fitted with all of its original contents.

This superb Antique Apothecary / Medical Box contains, twenty five bottles some with original potions and labels, pestle & mortar, brass & iron scales with its weights, A metal funnel and measuring tube.

To gain access to the secret poison compartment you first have to open the cabinet, the front right hand side above the top hinge has a clasp which you need to pull out a small distance, turning the apothecary box round to face the back, placing your hand on the upper back compartment you should be able to slide the back towards you revealing its secret Poisons compartment.

At the back of this compartment attached to the door is a Plaque which reads: From William Albert Marson, The Old Curioity Shop, Stafford. Click on the link and this will display an image of William in front of the curiosity shop. This Apothecary box does come with original contents some of which are liquid, you can be rest assured extra care will be taken to pack this so that any of its contents will not be spilt in transit. One bottle has a chip the the base which can be seen on the website, otherwise everything is in good order.
