Fabulous Betjemann Jewellery box veneered in beautiful Coromandel, bound with brass, two winged jewellery compartments, removable jewellery tray and jewellery drawer with brass flush fitting handle and removable reversible mirror.

The brass coronet on the top of this Jewellery box has four “pearls” meaning this would have belonged to a Marchioness.

The interior of this exquisite jewellery box is fitted beautifully with burgundy silk velvet and leather paper, the top has a ruched silk velvet with secret removable gold tooled mirror which when removed also reveals a secret letter compartment. The lower part of this impressive jewellery box has a flap which lowers at the front revealing a secret jewellery drawer which can be opened by pressing the brass plaque located at the back of the interior.

After the front has been lowered then the two winged compartments can be opened revealing a removable jewellery tray with several dividers giving lots of room for storing all kinds of jewellery including a section for earrings, rings, cufflinks under this is more space for bangles / watches etc.To the back of the box is a single removable tray perfect for necklaces or chains, under this allows more storage for larger items such as bangles or watches.

Once the winged compartments have been pulled out there are small brass buttons located on the back of the compartments. Once pressed these will reveal two hidden jewellery draws which will spring open.

This truly is a wonderful impressive jewellery box which comes with a fully working lock and tasselled key.
