Important information on how to lock and unlocking a Tantalus.

When locking the Tantalus always try it first with the swing arm in the open position so you feel the tolerance of the lock.

Operating the lock and key: You have to push key into the barrel of the lock and whilst keeping the key pushed in to the sprung barrel turn the key anti clockwise will unlock the Tantalus, then push down on the barrel allowing you to pull the handle either towards or away from you to remove the decanters, if its already locked you will not be able to do this until the Tantalus is unlocked.

More information on Tantaluses can be found on our historypage.
