Burr Walnut Writing boxwith secret drawers. The writing slope has brass straps running from front to back, brass corner braces, vacant initial plate and ornate escutcheon.

The interior of this fabulous burr walnut writing box features its original black leather and gold tooled writing surface and brass screw top glass inkwell. Lifting the front half of the writing slope reveals a storage space. Lifting the rear half reveals further storage space and also allows access to the secret compartment with hidden drawers. The hidden drawers can be accessed by pulling up on the divider to the left of the top right.

This writing box comes with a fully working lock and tasselled key and brass screw top inkwell.
