Featured here is an Antique Sterling Silver Vanity box veneered in stunning figured Calamander, by London Silversmiths James Vickery.

This magnificent Antique Silver Vanity Box has robust brass quadrant edging, a vacant initial plate, and escutcheon. Upon lifting the lid, ten sterling silver-topped jars are revealed. Each jar is fully hallmarked by London Silversmiths James Vickery and is beautifully engraved with a wonderful greek key pattern. They surround a removable tool pad that features various Mother-of-Pearl-handled tools for manicures and beautification. One of the pairs of scissors is a replacement, but a very good match. There is a drawer at the front of the box, either a jewellery drawer or a vanity drawer for possibly hair products or tools. This ‘jewellery drawer’ is beautifully lined with a padded elegant blue velvet and features a compartment that is the perfect size for storing for rings, earrings, cufflinks, or other small accessories.

Additional features include a removable mirror with a ruched velvet back that is housed inside the lid of the box, which sits in front of a leather letter compartment.

This Silver Vanity Box is accompanied by a tasseled key that works with two operational Bramah Locks, which are accessed by pressing the key into the sprung lock and rotating the key clockwise.
