Description

Standing on a wonderfully shaped plinth with brass handles, door latches and a key profile is this Duke of York Apothecary Cabinet in Mahogany.

When the lid is closed, the front and rear doors are secured. Lifting the lid reveals an interior housing four brass-topped jars, weighing scales and a ceramic mixing tile.
The front compartment of the box has seven drawers with brass loop handles, alongside seven glass jars, some of which still hold their original contents.

The bottom drawers contain small glass bowls, the middle drawers contain a glass mortar and beaker, several cylindrical corked jars, and three round wooden boxes.

Eight storage compartments with sliding lids are located in the top two drawers. Located behind the cabinet’s rear door are eight glass jars, some of which are still filled with their original contents.
