Description
Antique coromandel sterling silver vanity box by Hausburg, Liverpool with bold brass edging and fine stringing on the front and top.
The interior is lined in green velvet and gold tooled leather, containing six silver and glass boxes, and perfume bottle and silver shaving brush. The silver is hallmarked: London Frances Douglas 1846.
The top half of the box has a velvet lined cover which lifts to reveal a letter compartment tooled with Hausburg manufacturer Liverpool , and a removable fitted tool pad with cut-throat razor, scissors, tweezers and boot pulls. Next to this is a leather strop with a gold tooled case.
This Vanity box comes with a fully working lock and tasselled key.
