Chinese Style Kashmir Military Cigar box with exquisite carvings of Sinuous Dragons, Chinese symbols and Field Canon.

The top features a field cannon with two banners with the Latin phrase: “Ubique Quo Fas Et Gloria Ducunt” which translates to “Everywhere. Where right and glory leads”. This is the motto of the Royal Artillery.

The rest of the box has chinoiserie carvings in the form of dragons. Including two detailed carvings on the underside of the lid flanking a monogram.

The interior of the box lid is also carved with Dragons and the base is lined with cedar wood and has two compartment dividers.
The bottom of the box has a makers label which reads: “Ganemede, Wood Carver and Papier Mache Maker Srinagar – Kashmir”

Has a key and a fully working lock.
