Dome Top Antique Games Compendium with ornate brass straps with stunning tigers eye stones, otherwise known as Agates.
The interior of this fabulous antique games compendium is veneered in exotic satinwood, incorporating a removable Ivory and coromandel chess and backgammon board, and a Staunton Ivory chess set stained red, and left natural, an ivory cribbage & bezique scorer, two Ivory “finger” pointers, a set of thirty Ivory backgammon counters stained red and left natural.
The drawer of the antique games compendium is accessed by pressing a brass pin that’s located on the interior between both hinges, by pressing this the drawer springs forward revealing two bone shakers, four packs of bezique playing cards and further bone and mother of pearl gaming counters.
The antique games compendium is made by George Betjemann & Son and has a retailers plaque on the hidden drawer which reads:
