Description

Georgian Tea Caddy veneered in figured Mahogany with oval medallions inlaid on all sides and finished with unusually seen Hungarian Ash crossbandings. The top and front are inlaid with exquisite flowering tea plants in urns, whilst the sides and back are Kingwood with boxwood edging. The top has a turned bone finial with the front having a lovely elegant shaped bone tear drop escutcheon.

The interior of this Georgian twin tea caddy contains two removable lids, each one matching the exterior with Hungarian Ash crossbanding and wonderful quartersawn Mahogany.

This tea caddy still has traces of its tin lining and has a fully working lock and tasselled key.
