Description

Georgian tea caddy veneered in figured Mahogany inlaid with beautiful conch shell top and front, framed with chequered angled borders and quarter fans. The left side panel has an oak leaf inlay and the right side features a tea plant in a vase. The tea caddy has a bone escutcheon and stands on four gilded brass ball feet.

Lifting the lid of this Georgian shell inlaid tea caddy reveals a yellow lined paper, two lids beneath with turned bone handles.

This great looking tea caddy has fabulous colour and patination, comes with a fully working lock and tasselled key. The lock must be turned clockwise to unlock.
