An antique french jewellery box in the form of a grand piano veneered in flame mahogany with boxwood and stained sycamore keys. The grand piano has brass gilded mounts two of which are of a bow & arrow with a quiver & flaming Torch surrounded by a wreath. The flaming torch is an ancient symbol of life, truth and the regenerative power of fire while the quiver of arrows signifies the ability to use force in the pursuit of justice. The central brass escutcheon is of a helmet, shield and hilt. This wonderful Grand Piano jewellery box stands on five beautifully turned legs.

The lid opens from the side like a real piano and reveals green silk paper and a velvet-lined interior. With removable jewellery tray.
