Description

Fine Ivory and sterling silver conductors baton by silversmiths Ebenezer Newman. This very impresive Ivory conductors baton has beautiful exquisite hand engraved silver mounts to the top, bottom and middle. The middle section of the conductors baton is inscribed W. R. Colbeck Esq, From the Soloists, Band and Chorus “Elijah”1897.

The Ivory & Silver Conductors Baton belonged to W. R. Colbeck who was a Vicar / Chaplain of Fressingfield, Sussex. He was at Haileybury from 1866 to 1873 and went to Keble College Oxford. In 1881 he was a private tutor living in Congleton, Cheshire. He died in 1934.

This Antique Ivory & Silver Conductors Baton is in A1 pristine condition.
