Solid Aluminium Model of a Lockheed JetStar featuring the slipstream wing mounted fuel tanks and four Pratt & Whitney JT12 engines.
The JetStar was produced between 1957 and 1978 and was predominately a business jet. Several were produced for the United States Air Force beginning their service during the start of the Vietnam war and continuing until the 1990’s.
The JetStar also had its moments in the limelight featuring in a James Bond film as “Goldfinger’s” private jet flown by Pussy Galore. Elvis Presley also had his own private JetStar named “Hound Dog II”.
To this day there are still several hundred JetStar’s being used for corporate and VIP use.
