Rare and very cute Grenouille (frog) Lalique car mascot. Model number #1146. Acid etched signed “R. Lalique France”on the edge of the base, and moulded “France”on the underside of the left leg.

This Lalique Frog Car Mascot is being offered for sale in A1 condition.

These were made as car hood ornaments in the 1920’s by famous glass make René Jules Lalique, who started a company using his own name, which still creates fine glassware today. Some of these would be lit underneath by a light and the faster the car was driven the brighter the Lalique car mascot shined.
