The interior is lined in a padded buttoned cream silk. The underside of the lid houses a mirror and various ribbon loops for holding sewing tools like scissors, prickers, and sewing hooks.

The main storage compartment has two perfume bottles in the rear corners, and the fold down front has more loop ribbon for holding various ivory sewing tools.
