Miniature Betjemann Tantalusveneered in exotic coromandel with beautiful boxwood marquetry and silver-plate corner supports.
The silver-plate handle is marked:
“The Tantalus”
Betjemanns Patent London 27998Contains three lead crystal hobnail cut decanters with faceted stoppers. Once unlocked the key barrell can be pressed down which allows the handle to fold down granting access to the decanters.
The underside has an original label on how to use the Tantalus.
This tantalus comes with a fully working lock and tasselled key.
