From our Tea Caddy collection, we are pleased to offer this rare sized Miniature Chinese Export Lacquer Tea Chest. The Tea Chest of squat compressed form extensively decorated to the outside with central scenes of figures in various pursuits with foliage and coin borders. When opened the Tea Chest reveals a single removable pewter Tea Caddy with a double sealed lid engraved with flowers and foliage. The Miniature Chinese Export Lacquer Tea Caddy  dates to the Chinese Daoguang Period (1820-1850) circa 1840.
