Palais Royal sewing box veneered in beautifully figured Mulberry with ornate pierced gilt brass mounts, including ring handle to the top and brass escutcheon. Standing on four delicate turned feet.

Opening this french Palais royal box reveals its original mirror plate and has a fully fitted removable tray with storage space underneath.
The silk-lined tray is fitted with mother of pearl tools comprising 4 thread winders, 2 thread reels, scissors, needle case, thimble, waxer, stiletto and a glass perfume bottle. The tray has two small ribbon loops on each side to aid lifting out of the box.

This sewing box comes with a fully working lock and tasselled key.
