Solid Oak box with brass strapping and brass screws for added strength. The sides have brass swing clasps to keep the lid secure even when the box is unlocked.
Lifting the lid reveals a blue padded velvet lined interior, with an embroidered flock of ducks. The front edge of the open box has two retailers plaques which read: “S. Maw, Son & Sons. 7 to 12 Aldersgate St.”
