Featuring a Coat of Arms
From our Decanter collection, we are pleased to offer this pair of Scottish Glass Magnum Sized Decanters. The decanters of square form with canted corners featuring a quilted pattern to each face except the front which is engraved with a coat of arms with the words Aye Courage and writing reading Richard Comyns of Ludston. The decanters are complete with cut glass blown ball-shaped stoppers with a matching pattern. The Magnum Decanters date to the turn of the 21st century circa 2000.
Richard Comyns (1933-2020) was one of the founders of the United Grand Priories of the Order and presided over its phenomenal growth worldwide and its international affiliations including within the United Nations. Comyns was Grand Prior of the Supreme Grand Priory of the Order, HE Richard Comyns of Ludston GCLJ GCMLJ and honorary chairman of the Saint Lazarus Foundation. Comyns had a successful career and was the Chairman of a number of companies including the Bank of Caledonia Ltd and Caledonian Banking International Ltd.
