Description

Antique gilded bronze Palais Royal Sewing box, with a beautiful dried flower arrangement on the mirror-backed lid, encased in a dome-shaped piece of glass. With delicate pierced lid and base. With shaped ornate handles to each side. This box is opened by pressing the brass push button clasp, which reveals a mirror housed in the underside of the main lid.
The interior is lined in silk and has several shaped compartments to specifically house the mother of pearl sewing tools. Which comprise two thread spools, needle case, scissors, thimble, pricker and needle. These are all housed in a removable tray which has a storage space underneath it.
