The description at the bottom of the print reads:
“Her Majesty Victoria I. Visit to the city of London. on the 9th of Nov 1837″

Charles Joseph Hullmandel was born in London and maintain a Lithographic establishment at twenty years old, until his death. He was an important figure in british lithographic as he developed a method for reproducing tones and graduations which would often be found in soft colour washes, which enabled the reproduction of landscape paintings. In 1843 he set up a partnership with Joseph Fowell Walton which became known as Hullmandel & Walton.
