Antique writing box made of Cuban Mahogany and veneered in rare Kingwood with elaborate solid & robust brass edging and vacant initial plate. Contains Secret compartment..!

With flush campaign carry handles on either side. The interior of this exquisite regency slope features a dark teal blue leather writing surface framed with gold tooling. The lower half is secured with two brass sliding clasps. Underneath this half is storage space with a cross ribbon backing for storing letters and documents.
The upper half of the writing slope is lockable with its own key. Underneath has more storage space and is where the secret compartment is.! There are two hidden drawers that can be accessed by pressing the bottom of the right side wall of the right-hand inkwell compartment. The false wall will spring forward.

This writing box comes with two fully working locks and tasselled keys and a pair of inkwells.
