This Sanglier (Wild Boar) Car Mascot was designed and produced by renowned glassmaker René Lalique.
Model #1157, René Lalique‘s car mascot of the Sanglier (wild boar) is a striking display piece.
An exceptionally beautiful black and grey finish on this René Lalique car mascot of the Wild Boar (Sanglier), making it slightly more unusual and different from some other classic René Lalique Car Mascots.
This beautiful black/grey Lalique Wild Boar mascot is being offered for sale in excellent, A1 condition; it bears a finely inscribed “R.Lalique” mark on the belly above the base.
These wonderful Glass Lalique Car Mascots originally adorned many fabulous Prestigious Motor Cars in the 1930s. They would sit on the most esteemed, high-quality cars like the Bentley and the Rolls Royce. The Mascots were made as car hood ornaments that would light up in the night and glow. These were first introduced in the 1920s, by famous glassmaker René Jules Lalique, who started a company using his own name, which still creates fine glassware today.
