Anglo Indian Ivory Work Box with original wooden case.
Fine sarcophagus shaped Anglo Indian Work Box veneered in repeating patterns of Sadeli hexagons & stars made up of Green stained Bone, natural Bone, Paktong, Ebony and Ivory all on a sandalwood carcass.
The Sadeli work box stands on four silver lions feet.
The interior of this Sadeli sewing box is fully fitted and has a removable blotting pad on the inside of the lid. A lift out tray which has a sadeli mosaic design on the lidded compartments, four thread barrels, and a blue velvet pin cushion which has pin storage underneath it.
This Anglo Indian sewing box comes complete with fully working lock and tasselled key.
