Anglo Indian Ivory Work Box

Fine sarcophagus shaped Anglo Indian Work Box veneered in repeating patterns of Sadeli hexagons & stars made up of Green stained Bone, natural Bone, Paktong, Ebony and Ivory all on a sandalwood carcass.

The Sadeli work box stands on four silvered ball feet.

The interior of this Sadeli sewing box has a removable original mirror on the inside of the lid with a lift out tray which has a sadeli mosaic design on the lidded compartments and thread barrels and a purple velvet pincushion.

Anglo Indian sewing box comes complete with fully working lock and tasselled key.
