Antique shagreen tea chest with sterling silver tea caddies with exquisite detailed rocco shell decoration and engraved with the quartered coat of arms for the Bacon family.
The Shagreen Tea Chest has canted top with silvered carry handle and ornate shaped escutcheon, its interior is lined with velvet and silver braid to the lid.
The two sterling silver tea caddies are exquisitely detailed with scrolling rocco shell decorations surrounding wonderful chinoiserie figures. The pair of silver tea caddies also have the quartered coat of arms for the Bacon family and are fully hallmarked by London silversmith John Wakefield 1818.
With a fully working lock and tasselled key.
