Featuring Twin Rams Heads
From our Barware collection, we are pleased to offer this pair of French Silverplate Ice Buckets. The pair of buckets of slightly tapered shape with pinched base and splayed foot decorated to each shoulder with a high quality casted Rams head and a single ribbed top rim. The pair hallmarked to the base with the Silverplate grade and the makers mark for Alfred Pollak. The Ice Bucket pair date to the late 19th century circa 1880. Please see the photos as there is some minor Silverplate loss to the rims.
Alfred Pollak (1852-1909 in Prague) was a Czech silversmith and kuk court supplier with branches also in Austria. As part of his trade, Alfred Pollak was the leading figure of Czech silver and supplied the imperial family.
