The oval body of this exquisite jewellery box is veneered in feathered tulipwood, with a crossbanded shaped plinth while the octagonal pagoda top is book matched with the circular top being quartered veneered. All very costly, time consuming and highly skilled veneer techniques. With brass and ebony edging through out.

The interior of this delightful antique jewellery box is lined in a blue silk and padded velvet, while the underside of the lid is decorated with white silk rope.

The lock keep is engraved ” TAHAN. Ft ru de la Paix” and the lock itself is fully working with a tasselled key.
