Tortoiseshell and Ivory eight day mantel clock commemorating Timo Makinen’s win in No.52, Monte Carlo Rally.

The clock movement has been fully serviced and is in full working order.

The Tortoiseshell & Ivory frame of the clock is typical Art Deco and we believe the clock surround was made by Richard & Tucker Nunn Ltd and was one of Smiths two main dealers. Grimshaw Baxter & J J Elliott Ltd. was the other. They both showed a full range of Smiths Clocks at exhibitions, but in addition showed further ranges which used Smiths movements in cases of better quality. They also exhibited at Olympia in 1947.
