Removing the sterling silver cap from the tortoiseshell tea caddy shows a retailers mark: ” J. C. Vickery 181-183 Regent St W ”

The silver is hallmarked London, by Cornelius Desormeaux Saunders & James Francis Hollings Shepherd, 1895.
