Description

Antique Tunbridge ware glove by Edmund Nye veneered Hungarian Ash with symmetrical tessellated decoration on the lid. The interior is lined with red silk and contains a original pair of leather gloves.

The underside of the box has a makers label which reads:
Edmund Nye, Manufacturer, Mount Ephraim, and Parade, Tunbridge Wells

Tunbridge ware glove box comes complete with a fully working lock and tasselled key. The key has to be turned clockwise to unlock, and counter clockwise to lock.
