Antique Burr Walnut Jewellery Box with canted decorative edges of pewter stringing and chequered squares. The top has a an diamond shaped inlay with abalone and central panel being mother of pearl with tulipwood crossbanding. The top and front has a inlaid border of stained veneers mirroring the unusual canted edge design.

The interior of the Victorian jewellery box is lined with white silk paper and royal blue velvet, with the underside of the lid backed with a ruched blue silk with an oval mirror. The jewellery box has a removable compartmentalised tray with looped ribbon handles and once removed reveals more space underneath.
