With Intricate Silverwork Throughout the Exterior


From our Tea Caddy collection, we are delighted to offer this Victorian Tortoiseshell & Silver Tea Caddy by silversmiths Samuel Walton Smith. The Tea caddy is of octagonal shape with extensive Silver scrollwork spanning across each panel of the exterior beautifully fixed with small gold-coloured pins located at various intervals. The Tea Caddy with a tent top surmounted with an ornate loop handle. When opened the Tea Caddy reveals a Tortoiseshell lid with a Silver handle and traces of foil through the interior Tea compartment. The Tea Caddy dates to the late Victorian period Circa 1890.

Samuel Walton Smith registered business 1885-1900 and traded from Cambridge Street, Birmingham and Great Pulteney Street, London W1.
