Description

Antique figured walnut jewellery box with brass escutcheon and flush drawer handle. Lifting the lid reveals and black silk paper and teal velvet-lined interior. With a removable tray fitted with three compartments for storing jewellery, including one which is specially fitted for storing rings, earrings or cufflinks. Under the tray is more room to store bangles or watches.
On the front edge of the open box is a small brass pin which holds the drawer secure while the box is locked. With the pin removed the draw can be opened using the flush-fitted brass handle to reveal a deep drawer with matching lining.
This walnut jewellery box comes with a fully working lock and its original key. The key must be turned clockwise to unlock.
