Extremely rare pumpkin / squash six segmented Tea Caddy with a mellow green & orange mottled colour. Fabulous patination, with a few life scars adding to its character and having its distinguishable shaped squared stalk and oval cut steel escutcheon.

The interior of this antique treen squash still contains traces of its original tin lining, has a fully working lock with a steel key.

This style of fruit tea caddy is often confused with melon shaped tea caddies but is clearly distinguishable by its distinctive, squared stalk. One of the rarest and most sought after fruit tea caddies and a prised piece in any collection.
