Leather travelling cased cocktail set by Sheffield Silversmiths James Dixon & Sons 1909, in a light tan cylindrical case. Its fitted with six stacking beakers, bitters bottle, three hip flasks marked Italian, French and Gin. The cocktail shaker also has a lemon squeezer incorporated in its lid.
All pieces are fully marked for James Dixon & Sons.
James Dixon & Sons, founded 1806 in Sheffield, was one of the major British manufacturers of the Industrial Revolution. They were manufacturers of pewterware, electroplated Britannia metal, silverware and electroplated nickel silver.
