Charles Rawlings & William Summers were notable 19th-century London silversmiths, active primarily during the mid-1800s. The partnership is best known for producing high-quality silver and gold items, including snuff boxes, card cases, and finely detailed tableware. Working from their premises on Fetter Lane, they registered their maker’s mark in 1829 and became well-regarded for both craftsmanship and elegant design. Their pieces often feature intricate engraving and repoussé work, typical of the Victorian era. Items bearing the Rawlings & Summers mark are now sought after by collectors of fine English silver.
Bramah is London’s oldest security company. Established at 124 Piccadilly, London in 1784, and today based in Fitzrovia, London and Romford, Essex. Bramah manufactures Bramah and Rola locks for domestic and commercial applications in the U.K. and overseas. We are Marylebone and Fitzrovia’s foremost Locksmith and Burglar Alarm installer.
Hunt & Roskell was a leading London silversmith and jeweller active during the 19th century, best known for its high-quality silver and luxury pieces. Originally founded as a continuation of the firm Rundell, Bridge & Rundell, they held a Royal Warrant and created pieces for Queen Victoria and the British aristocracy. Their work, often grand and finely detailed, ranged from silverware and presentation pieces to exquisite jewellery. Hunt & Roskell was a prominent name on Bond Street and played a key role in defining the style of Victorian high society.
Coromandel is a valuable wood found in India, Sri Lanka and South East Asia. It has a contrasting hazel-brown colour with black grain. It is a dense, heavy wood that is so popular it has been logged to extinction over the last few hundred years. This makes Calamander pieces even more special.
